Bad Back Stories

After running a competition in our February Newsletter (Click Here) which involved our readers sending us some funny experiences to do with their Bad Backs (Or other peoples), we were inundated with hilarious tales, it was hard to choose a winner! Have a chuckle while you check out the winning stories below...

3rd Prize Winning Story;

"It was Christmas day at my sisters house with all of the relatives there including my brother in-laws family & friends that I did not know very well. All up about 40 people.

My younger niece & nephew (ages 3 & 5) had got a kiddies trampoline from santa. So, stupid me got on it in front of everyone started jumping then decided to do a bounce on my backside. Big mistake. As it was a kiddy trampoline, it was low to the ground & as I later found out only meant to hold about 50kgs. When I tried to bounce on my backside the bounce turned into a very painful thud as my tailbone hit the ground under the low trampoline. Very painful & very embarassing in front of all of the guests & I had to go lay down for the rest of the day with painkillers!" - Melissa , NSW

 2nd Prize Winning Story;

"I often get relief from my backpain by having someone press into the side of my spine. But when I dont have a friend nearby I will do whatever I takes to get relief! Recently it caused an embarrassing situation when my boss walked into my office and found me reversing into the corder of my desk rubbing my spine along the sharp corner! What was probably funnier than this awkward position was the look of sheer joy on my face!" - Sally

Finally, the 1st Prize Winning Story;

"Hello,

My brother would kill me if he knew I was sharing this story of his with anyone, but I wont tell him if you don't!

Many years ago when my brother was younger and more 'Flexible' he had taken a young lady to the local drive in. As it happened I was also there with a carload of girlfriends.

About halfway through the first movie there was a lot of commotion a few rows up from us and quiet a few Drive in people were running back and forwards. After about 30 minutes an ambulance arrived and of course everyone decided to sticky beak at what was happening.

We promptly forgot the movie when we heard hysterical laughter and people were passing us telling us to go have a look at what this 'Idiot' had done.

Well, upon making our way through quite a gathering of people I recognized my brothers car, I immediately thought "Oh God, what am I going to tell mum and dad".

My brother had bucket seats in his car. The passenger door was open and all we could see was his bare bum in mid-air, and him yelping in pain. What had happened was he and his date had gotten 'Frisky' and as he only had a two seater car had laid the passenger seat back and had undressed as well.

Things were progressing well until my brother decided to put his foot in the glove box for more 'Leverage'. That's when things got tricky. He was stuck and couldn't move anywhere The girl underneath him couldn't move anywhere because the car was a 2 door. They had to end up yelling for help or be stuck there all night.

It took several men to 'Extract' them from the car and at least an hour, because my brother kept cramping up and his sciatic nerve kept pinching.

He never had a back injury prior to the drive in even but he is constantly reminded of that night that it all began because he has terrible sciatic and lower back pain ever since. And of course family being family, we have never let him live it down and neither did my girlfriends who saw him in all his glory.

The movie showing at the drive in should have warned him....it was Risky Business." - Debbie, QLD
