Josef Glöckl founded the aeris company in 1996. In 1997 he presented a world innovation to the public: his new three-dimensional seat 'The Swopper'.

The "swopper" hit the market as a revolutionary idea. It has developed to an established and acclaimed market leader of a completely new generation of seats.

In 2004 the 100,000th "swopper" was sold and in 2006 aeris launched a new product - the innovative variable seat "muvman". All aeris products are manufactured almost exclusively in Germany.

The aeris company today supplies the European market as well as the USA, Japan, Korea, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.
