Shopping with Confidence!

We appreciate that you want to shop with confidence online.  And so Bad Backs wishes to confirm the importance we place on your privacy, security, our returns policy and customer service support.

Dr. Jill’s Foot Pads, Inc was founded in Florida USA in 2001, by Dr. Jill Scheur, a Podiatrist with a dream and a vision of helping patients feet become more comfortable.

After many requests for pads from other podiatrists and numerous customers, she launched her own range of "Dr. Jill’s Foot Pads", a Complete Foot Pad Source for Foams, Moleskin and Gels. Being a Podiatrist, Dr. Jill felt a strong need to provide patients with quality foot pads at great prices.

Created and Designed by a Podiatrist !

A great new hammertoe pain relief product from Dr Jill's in the USA. For those of us that have had hammertoes, we know what a painful condition it can be. Before you get to the stage of having surgery, use a simple strapping device to help relieve pressure on the toes and straighten them out.

What is Hammertoe?

Hammertoe is simply the bending of one or both joints of the second, third, fourth, or fifth (little) toes. This bending can put pressure on the toe when wearing shoes, which causes problems to develop.

Symptoms of hammertoes can include:

  • Irritation or pain of the toe when wearing shoes.
  • Corns (a buildup of skin) on the top, side, or end of the toe, or between two toes, which are caused by constant friction against the shoe.
  • Calluses (another type of skin buildup) on the bottom of the toe or on the ball of the foot.

Hammertoes usually start out as very mild but may get worse over time. If left untreated, hammertoes may become more rigid and none responsive to non-surgical treatment, so the earlier you get help the better !

What Causes Hammertoe?

The most common cause of hammertoe is a muscle and tendon imbalance that leads to a bending of the toe, usually caused by changes in the foot that occur over time. Poorly fitting shoes that cramp the toes are a frequent cause of hammertoes. If the toe is bent and held in one position too long, the muscles tighten and cannot stretch out.

Solutions?

Your doctor or podiatrist may recommend a number of options including self stretching your toes at home, changing your shoes, using straps to help stretch the toe out, to surgery in the worst cases.

This adjustable hammertoe strap from Dr Jill's was designed by a podiatrist for her customers. Simple and easy to use.
