Not all inversion tables are created equal
Teeter inversion tables are voluntarily tested to satisfy USA UL Classification 60601-1, a medical-grade standard. Additionally, an independent engineering evaluation rated the Teeter Hang Ups EP model with the highest 'factor of safety' of any model tested and it was the only inversion table that cycled without failure.
TESTIMONIALS
With the daily dose of glucosamine and using my inversion table, I have gone totally pain-free for the last three years. I could not be happier with my Hang Ups table and give it my highest recommendation over everything else on the market. And just in case you're wondering whether to get the anti-gravity boots or not, trust me when I say it makes "hanging" so much more enjoyable and comfortable when you have the boots.

The idea of elevating aching feet is not a novel one to me, but with the inversion table it takes on a whole new meaning; I can LITERALLY feel the pains and aches melting away. The inverted position relieves stress from my "compressed" joints and back and improves circulation in my feet (they used to be cold all the time - a classic sign of poor circulation). The first time I used it was the first time in a LONG time that I had a full night sleep, after stretching myself for just a half an hour on the inversion table. I woke up rested and I had NO stiff muscles or joints. Heck, I didn't even need coffee and aspirin that morning!!! In closing, I think the inversion table is a health savior. I strongly urge everyone to buy one.

Just to let you know that I am a proud owner of the Inversion Table since Aug. 1998. I must say it is a great machine, very professionally built. I truly believe that it has helped me with not only stretching my spine but also helps me maintain it's alignment. I make the time to use it on a regular basis, in my busy work schedule even if it is only for a few minutes. I feel especially great after the inversion when the blood circulates much more easily throughout the body, including the head. My wife has also learned to appreciate this machine. We both will hang on to this machine for as long as we can. It ales makes a great conversation piece, when our friends and neighbors see it. Congratulations!

I purchased the inversion table 3 years ago. I had a very bad time with my back and couldn't stand in the morning when I awoke. The premise seemed to make sense and so I ordered it. I did however have one concern. When I was little I suffered from motion sickness and to this day have a problem from time to time with dizziness due to the muscles in my neck. I set up the inversion table as soon as I received it. However, I was afraid to invert even slightly because I was afraid of the rush of blood to my head. So I walked around it daily for about three weeks. Everyone else in my house used it right away and really enjoyed it but I couldn't get up the nerve. Finally my husband insisted and I got on. I didn't invert right away but was so surprised when there wasn't a blood rush to my head and I wasn't nauseous or dizzy! I was so surprised. What a wonderful feeling to get the weight off my legs and my back! I was thrilled. I use the table regularly now and haven't had a back problem since. My friends can't believe how I've recovered and I can't believe how much better I feel. My neck problem has reduced in severity as well. I never expected that! Thank you! I love it!

I am a 43 year old female who has been stricken with osteoarthritis. People look at me and see a vibrant, healthy looking person, but they have no idea what's happening on the inside of my body. I have suffered with lower back and neck pain for three year's now. For the past three month's I have been inverting, and cannot begin to describe the relief I have experienced. I would like to encourage anyone sitting on the fence about inversion, to jump off and try it. You have nothing to lose but sleepless nights and long hours of discomfort.

The the ultimate inversion table, from US market leader Teeter, the world leader in inversion therapy products
The Hang Ups EP-950 inversion table is made to the highest quality manufacturing standards including UL Classification 60601-1, a medical-grade standard. The EP-950 includes all the features of the highly popular EP-550, plus some deluxe features that really make this the ultimate inversion table on the market today, including:
- Ratchet Ankle Lock System - easy reach triple lock ankle closing mechanism to help minimize lower back strain
- Over EZ handles - help gently guide you into and out of inverted positions.
- EZ Traction Handles - allows you to add manual traction for a deeper stretch, plus use them to help oscillate and assist your return from full inversion.
- EZ Angle Tether Strap - help you easily set your preferred angle of inversion.
- Ergo-Embrace Ankle SystemTM - pressure reducing specialty foam cups for enhanced ankle support and comfort.
- Robust Frame - larger steel tubing A-frame.
The whole concept of inversion is a simple one. While inverted, your body weight creates traction that lengthens the spine by inceasing the space between the vertebrae. This pressure relief on the nerve roots and discs, means less pressure and therefore less pain.

So how does inversion really help ?
Re-hydrate discs: Damaged discs can take a long time to repair since they don’t have a direct blood supply. Inverted decompression takes pressure off the discs, allowing them to widen and hydrate with nutrients that help expedite repair. The added cushion helps increase shock absorption and flexibility.
Reduce nerve pressure: Inverting on a Teeter has been clinically proven to increase intervertebral separation, helping to open up the passageway for nerve roots. Less pressure means less pain.
Realign: The back is supported by hundreds of ligaments and muscles that stabilize the spine but also hold it in compression. When the back moves out of alignment from bad posture, too much sitting, or rotational activities, this support structure holds the body in misalignment. Even while lying down, your spine maintains 25% of standing pressure. In order to decompress, the spine needs a traction force of at least 60% of your body weight, roughly equivalent to inverting at an angle of 60° on a Teeter. This type of progressive decompression naturally re-aligns the weight-bearing skeleton, promoting good posture.
Relax tense muscles: Inverting to as little as 25° for a few minutes can help relax muscles and speed lymph flow. A study has shown that EMG activity (an indicator of muscle pain) was reduced 35% after only 10 seconds of inversion. (Nosse, L.: Inverted Spinal Traction. Arch Phys Med Rehabil 59: 367-370, Aug 78)
Decompression facilitates rapid re-hydration and the exchange of nutrients. Lost moisture in discs results in lost height and flexibility as you age.
Strengthens ligaments: Loading ligaments naturally increases the collagen content for better joint support and injury prevention.
Increases joint lubrication: Decompression aids in joint lubrication by altering the pressure and suction forces within the joint, helping to stimulate the synovial fluid that nourishes cartilage.
Improves joint flexibility & range of motion: The restored moisture in the soft tissue promotes the longevity of joint performance. Encourages proper posture and body symmetry.
