- Cervical Curve Restoration
- Posture improvement
- Improved Spinal Structure
- Helps with Long Term Pain Relief
"The key to compliance in cervical curve restoration is ease of use and comfort, especially in the first few sessions where fear of pain can curtail compliance", says Dr Jay Kennedy.
Unique and Effective Design:
The Neck Deck’s contoured foam base places you in an ideal position for traction treatment with important anterior translation of the torso and posterior translation of the skull. Other traction units that require lying on the floor or another flat surface are unable to create the important posterior translation.
Finding the Comfort:
You begin by lying on the contoured foam base for a few minutes each day. As you become more comfortable (usually within a week’s time), you can add short inflation sessions with the neck roll, and finally add the forehead strap with greater inflation force for a longer duration.
Feeling the Difference:
Local discomfort, but not pain, can be expected. It is important to begin extension therapy with several, in-office, supervised sessions with a professional if possible. This will ensure proper use and tolerance of the unit for continued treatment at home.
During home use, the Neck Deck can also be used upright in a backed chair. After a few days, you can begin to incorporate the inflatable roll. For greater extension, add the forehead-tensioning strap by placing over the forehead and pulling tight. This will create a slight pressure from the unit, and a defines extension of the skull. The inflatable roll should be pumped several times until a distinct, but well tolerated pressure and extension is realized.
