"I am a 2-time Olympian and a 2-time World champion triathlete. The amount of training I do can produce a lot of stiffness in my back. Mark Alexander is an Olympic Physiotherapist and I use his bakballs because they are a great product. After I finish training I jump on the bakballs and voila!" - Peter Robertson
"As a nursing academic and sufferer of lower back, I recently sustained whiplash to my neck and decided to try the Bakballs out. Its been a struggle to use them myself, as my mother has been using them non-stop since they arrived, for similar problems. Mum said they are really good and help alleviate some of the pressure points that only remedial massage seemed to be able to relieve until now." - R. McGill, NSW
As featured in Australian Womens Health Magazine - July 13 issue out now!
The highly effective Back Balls are designed to reverse joint stiffness and correct slouched, hunched forward posture that significantly contributes to back pain.
Poor posture significantly increases the pressure placed on the ligaments and discs supporting the spine, and may result in extension or elongation of the spine - which is a major influencing factor in the development of spinal conditions.
BakBalls has been designed by qualified physiotherapist, Mark Alexander - Australian Olympic and Commonwealth Games Triathlon physiotherapist.
How to Use BakBalls:
Initially start using BakBalls by lying on your bed, then progress to lying on a carpeted floor. Position BakBalls between your shoulder blades and ensure BakBalls is positioned evenly on either side of your spine. Bend your knees up, use a pillow behind your head and keep arms by your side to reduce the pressure from lying on Bak Balls. To prevent your shirt getting tangled, pull your shirt taut around you before use.
Lie STATIONARY on BakBalls for 15-20 seconds, then roll the balls down your spine 2-3cm and repeat the process. Don't roll vigorously or quickly on BakBalls. Continue until Bak Balls is resting in the small of your back. It should take no more than 3-4 minutes. You can return to your tender points for another 15-20 seconds.
Where can I use BakBalls?
Can also be used leaning against the back of your seat - in cars, buses, planes or in the office and leaning against walls when standing.
After use, it is possible to develop a `bruised' sensation similar to what you would feel from a strong massage. This is a normal temporary response to treatment and shouldn't last for longer than 1-2 days. You should not continue using Bak Balls if this pain persists and consult your local doctor or health professional.
