When Aeron was launched in 1994 it was a chair like no other. But much has changed since then, so it made sense that Herman Miller should create an evolution of this iconic chair design.

Aeron’s legacy of sustainability and innovation continues since its introduction nearly 30 years ago and the new updated Onyx AERON office chair uses material innovation, including the addition of ocean-bound plastic to the body of the chair.– ergonomically, functionally and environmentally – for the needs of today’s work, workers, and work environments. 

It’s also Herman Miller's first product to receive the industry-leading Cradle to Cradle V3 Silver Level certification. Aeron is composed of more than 50% recycled material using ocean-bound plastic.

Power Posture: With PostureFit SL, adjustable, individual pads stabilise the sacrum and support the lumbar region of the spine to mimic a healthful standing position.

Aeration: 8Z Pellicle allows air, body heat, and water vapour to pass through the seat and backrest to help maintain even and comfortable skin temperature.

Natural Movement: An updated tilt mechanism delivers a smoother trajectory and optimal balance point to keep people in control of their movement throughout the entire range of recline.

With chairs, one size does not fit all people. Based on an ends-to-the-middle design approach, Aeron comes in three sizes to provide a fit that is inclusive rather than exclusive, and delivers the same comfort to the largest range of anthropometric body types of any chair. It’s as easy as A, B, or C. To meet the needs of the broadest possible set of body types, Aeron was designed in three proportional sizes. This approach to inclusiveness became an integral element of Aeron's DNA. That's why the new Aeron Chair is available in the same, anthropometric A-B-C sizing. Use the recommended sizing chart to help determine the right size for you.
