Bad Backs (, Australia’s leading destination for back pain relief resources and products, has launched  – a specialty, microsite dedicated to one of its most popular product categories.

So what’s all the fuss about zero-gravity® and why a whole website dedicated to it?

Zero-gravity® has its origin with NASA, and simulates the weightlessness experienced by astronauts in space.  The concept has been applied to a range of furniture (mainly recliners and beds), which offer a stress-free position on the spine, to alleviate spinal pressure, muscle tension and increase circulation.

According to Bad Backs founder, Felicity Wood, the zero-gravity® furniture collection have received rave reviews from customers.

"Zero-Gravity® is a registered trademark of Bad Backs and the product range is quickly becoming a cult classic.  Zero-gravity® is the only position that does not exert compression on spinal discs, so for people who suffer from chronic back pain, reclining in this position offers instant relief, which ordinary recliners can’t provide.  And when there is less pressure, there is normally less pain since the body will be in a better position to ‘heal’ itself,"  explains Felicity.

"The Zero-Gravity® microsite is a way of giving focus to this popular product category; presenting the product range and of course delivering detailed information to help customers make an informed choice. Customers in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth also have the option of visiting a Bad Backs Store to try the product for themselves. Check the website Contact Us page for locations," explains Felicity

"We have also had enormous success with the informative aspect of the Bad Backs site, where people can access the latest medical research and findings on back pain.  People really are seeking information and answers on back pain, and likewise we have tried to emulate that with our zero-gravity® site.  It’s much more than just an online catalogue," says Felicity.
