Wilkhahn understands this key principal of ergonomics which is why they developed Trimension for the ergonomic ON chair. This unique tested feature is a patented technology for three dimensional, synchro-adjusted dynamic seating.

What is Trimension:

Trimension doesn’t just encourage forwards, backwards and sideways movements, but the pelvis to rotate too - which is so important for the spine’s stability.

Two separately moveable swing plates, just like two thighs, lie at the core of the 3D synchronous adjustment technology. Minimal shifts in weight are already translated into movement. The position of the pivotal points and way they work are exactly like knee and hip joints. As a result, the body maintains its centre of gravity – no matter what posture it adopts or the way it moves. Backache is effectively prevented and the metabolism, muscles and joints are stimulated. Scientific case studies have proved that ON’s varied range of motion significantly enhances the feeling of well-being and powers of concentration in office environments.

• The supporting counterpressure is quickly and infinitely adjustable in any direction (a max. of 4.5 rotations) for people weighing between 45-120kg.
• The backrest is height adjustable by up to 60mm in six lockable positions, no buttons or levers are needed.
• The backrest and seat can be locked in the front sitting position.
• The seat height is infinitely adjustable between 40cm and 52cm with a DIN 4550-compliant gas lift.
• Includes a seat depth adjustment of 40-45cm. The seat depth is altered by grabbing the front end of the seat with both hands and turning it upwards, or downwards to reduce depth again to suit different thigh lengths.
• Five-star base polished aluminium base.
• Load-dependent braking, twin wheel swivel castors made of black polyamide for carpets/wood floors
• Shell for the technology made of die-cast shot blasted polished aluminium, with top cover made of black polypropylene.
• Gas lift covered by telescopic protective tubing made of black through- dyed polypropylene
• 3D armrests made of fibreglass reinforced, black through-dyed polyamide. Armrest pads made of black through-dyed polyurethane (TPU). The depth and width of the armrest pads can be changed by pushing and turning them.
• Height of armrests adjustable by 10cm (eight lockable positions), depth by 4cm, in each case can be swivelled 30 degrees inwards and outward
• Does not include a pelvic forward tilt.

Colour/Fabric:

The seat and backrest covered in innovative Fiberflex 35 fabric. It’s permanently elastic, breathable and kind to the skin. Due to its three-dimensional design, it looks like additional micro-cushioning.
