Magnetic Therapy
Magnetic Therapy is based on the effects of magnetic fields on the human body. We are an electromagnetic organism with electricity flowing through the nerves in our body just as electricity flows through a wire. When a magnet is applied to an area of pain there is a reaction to all the cells under that area, increasing blood circulation and oxygen flow.
The devices used in this type of therapy range from small, simple magnetic discs to large, sophisticated magnetic field generators capable of producing high-intensity magnetism.
Magnetic therapy benefits may include:
Relieving pain, reducing swelling, promoting sound restful sleep, calms and relieves stress, increased blood circulation, fights infections.
Throughout the world there is a growing use of magnets both in self-help applications and in the practice of medicine. Evidence from millions of users and US clinical research show the ‘relief’ through the use of magnetic fields is a reality for many.
Magnets should not be used by pregnant women or people with electronic implants such as pacemakers. Magnets should also be kept away from credit cards, computer disks and audio/video tapes.
